Richly romantic and beautifully made, this Victorian Garnet “Buckle” drop pendant is a treasure in 18ct Gold. An ornate openwork roundel with ribbon-like scrolls gives way to a gracefully articulated, tiered drop that tapers to a refined point. Pavé and collet-set Garnets glow in deep cherry-to-ruby hues, lending sumptuous colour and lively sparkle with every movement.

Graduated Garnets, approx. 2.30ct in total, are arranged in close-set rows to emphasise the pendant’s elegant, elongated silhouette and girandole-style drama. An exquisite piece of mid-19th-century design, it balances opulence with delicacy for a look that feels both timeless and striking.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 57mm long including bail.
Pendant is 21.5mm wide.
Garnets graduate from 2mm to 7mm long x 5.5mm wide, weighing approx. 2.30ct combined.
WEIGHT: 8.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Garnet (2.30ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

EXCELLENT: Garnets are bright and well-matched with only minor age-consistent pinpoint abrasions visible under magnification. The 18ct Gold settings are secure with light surface wear and a pleasing antique patina. No obvious signs of later repair; overall, very well cared for.
