Extraordinary in colour and craftsmanship, this 1940s Art Deco necklace pairs richly carved Lapis Lazuli plaques with vibrant blue and green Enamel, all set in warm 14ct Gold. Each deep ultramarine plaque is intricately carved in floral relief, its natural golden flecks and lighter veining adding irresistible character, while fan-shaped Enamel panels lend a tessellated, cloisonné-style rhythm across the collar.

Articulated for beautiful drape and presence at the neckline, it culminates in a substantial Lapis Lazuli clasp for a striking focal point. Luxurious yet wearable, the saturated palette and sculptural forms make a confident statement, with a satisfying 47.2g weight that feels wonderfully opulent.

Lapis Lazuli plaques measure 23.5mm long x 16.5mm wide.
Lapis Lazuli clasp measures 37mm long x 26mm wide.

MATERIALS: Tests as 14ct Gold, Lapis Lazuli, Enamel.

STAMPS: Maker's Mark WL, 14k.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

状態

EXCELLENT: The Lapis Lazuli shows light surface abrasion to the high points of the carving and occasional tiny edge nicks under close inspection, commensurate with age. The Enamel retains strong, vivid colour with minimal wear, and the 14ct Gold settings and prongs are secure with articulated links in fine order. Overall, beautifully preserved and ready to wear.
