An expanding Art Nouveau pique bracelet, finely worked with repeating acanthus and arabesque scrolls in gilt against a dark ground. The articulated rectangular and square plaques alternate with short translucent pale‑green chatoyant bars and small spherical beads, creating a bold, graphic band with a distinctly decorative presence.

ERA: Art Nouveau (1890–1910)

MEASUREMENTS: Bracelet inner circumference is 6.5" (16.5cm), held on elastic so it can stretch.
Panels measure 21mm wide and 24mm wide.
9ct Gold beads are 5mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 21.4g

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Pique

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The bracelet is in excellent overall condition with only light surface scratches and minimal wear to gilt at the high points and edges. The translucent spacer panels show very small edge chips and there is some dark residue/adhesive visible in drilled holes indicating prior restringing; the articulated links are intact and the band remains stable and wearable.
