Art Nouveau at its most romantic, this English Silver locket from c.1903 is richly sculpted with a serene lady’s profile framed by flowing hair and stylised floral whiplash lines. The modelling is beautifully high-relief, catching the light on the raised highlights while a soft patina settles in the recesses for depth and contrast.

Double-sided with a lady’s portrait to each face, it closes with a neat ball-style push catch and wears with a graceful, sculptural presence. Fully hallmarked for Chester 1903 with maker’s mark W&R, it’s a timeless jewel of the period’s organic elegance.

EXCELLENT: The locket presents crisp, high-relief detail with a pleasing antique patina and only the lightest surface wear commensurate with age. The hinge and ball push catch are in excellent working order, closing securely. No obvious dents, splits or repairs observed.
