This Edwardian portrait locket is a finely crafted jewel, designed in Sterling Silver with a 9ct Gold border and set with bright white Paste gems. At the top sits a bow motif, accented with sparkling Paste stones, leading down into a circular locket with glass panels on both sides. Inside is a gorgeous selection of loose Moonstones, Opals and a vibrant Amethyst, creating a playful shaker locket.

It’s a romantic and highly collectable antique that can easily be personalised, making it the perfect gift or sentimental keepsake for yourself.

Item Details

ERA: Edwardian (1901–1909).

MEASUREMENTS: Locket is 45mm long inc. jump ring.
Locket itself is 30mm in diameter.
Weight: 10.8g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Sterling Silver, 9ct Gold border, Paste gems. Loose Moonstones, Opals, Amethyst.

STAMPS: “925” European Silver marks.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: The Silver is lustrous and the Gold border is bright, with secure Paste gems that have retained their sparkle. The glass is original and intact on both sides. Locket closes securely with only minor wear consistent with age.
