A delicately engraved solid Gold Edwardian hinged bangle set with a graduated row of deep pink–red Rubies, alternating with small colourless diamonds and centred with a Garnet.

The bangle is finished in buttery bright yellow Gold with fine foliate and starburst engravings; an ornate, romantic design that sits elegantly on the wrist.

Item Details

ERA: Edwardian (1901–1909)

MEASUREMENTS: Inner circumference is 7" (17.8cm).
Bangle width 8mm to 4mm.
Rubies graduate from 2.5mm long x 3.5mm wide to 3.5mm long x 4.5mm wide.
Central Garnet is 4mm long x 3.5mm wide.
Diamonds are 2mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 10.2g

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Ruby, Diamond, Garnet (central stone a later replacement).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: The rubies, diamonds and replacement central garnet are intact and appear securely seated with minimal facet wear. The bangle shows light surface scratches and mild patina in engraved recesses consistent with gentle wear; the hinge, box clasp and safety chain are functional with no visible repairs. No resizing or restoration marks are evident.
