A quintessential Edwardian garland pendant, this 9ct Gold beauty traces an airy openwork circle with delicate foliate and floral motifs set throughout with luminous Pearls. At its heart sits a square Pink Tourmaline on the diagonal, echoed by a matching articulated drop that dances with every movement. Fine milgrain and rub-over edges add a refined, lace-like finish to the design, while a tapered, Pearl-set bale completes the composition.

Hand-fabricated with open backs to the settings, the pendant captures the romantic elegance of the period. The two Pink Tourmalines total approximately 0.86ct combined, bringing a refined pop of rosy colour against the warm glow of 9ct Gold.

Item Details

ERA: Edwardian (1901–1909).

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 48mm long including bail.
Pearls graduate from 1mm to 1.5mm in diameter.
Pink Tourmalines measure approximately 4.5mm long x 4.5mm wide, weighing approx. 0.86ct combined.
WEIGHT: 3.2g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Pink Tourmaline (approx. 0.86ct), Pearl.

STAMPS: 9CT.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: Tourmalines and Pearls are present and secure with a bright, even appearance and no chips visible to the naked eye. The Gold shows light, even patina and light surface wear commensurate with age; the settings and articulated drop sit true. No visible repairs or alterations.
