This Antique Gypsy ring is a wonderful Chester-made treasure from 1918. Crafted in solid 18ct Gold, the band is flush-set with vibrant natural Rubies and a sparkling Rose-cut Diamond, creating a striking yet wearable design perfect for stacking or wearing solo.

The Chester assay office closed in 1962, and its hallmarks are now highly prized by collectors. This example bears a full set of crisp, legible English hallmarks, adding rarity and desirability to the piece. With its bold width and buttery yellow Gold, it makes a stylish and timeless statement.

MEASUREMENTS: Ring band is 7.5mm wide at the front, tapering to 3.2mm at the back.
Rubies are 3mm in diameter.
Diamonds are 2mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 4g

MATERIALS: 18ct Gold, Ruby, Rose-cut Diamond.

HALLMARKS: Crown for Gold, Chester Assay, “18”, date letter “S” for 1918.

VERY GOOD: The Rubies are natural, well-matched and securely set, and the Diamond is lively. The Gold retains a glossy yellow tone with only light wear consistent with age. A resize mark is visible inside the band, but it is not distracting when worn. Hallmarks are crisp and complete, adding great character to this rare Chester ring.
