A refined Edwardian negligee drop in warm 15ct Gold, set with a matched pair of pale, icy-blue Aquamarines that catch the light with a cool, watery clarity.

The articulated three-part design; an upper bezel-set stone, a slim straight bar and a lower bezel-set stone hangs with delicate movement from a fine trace link chain, creating a minimalist silhouette ideal for layering or as a single, understated statement.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant drop is 42mm long.
Upper Aquamarine measures 7mm diameter x 5mm deep, approximately 1.15cts.
Lower Aquamarine measures 9mm diameter x 7mm deep, approximately 2.68cts.
Total Aquamarine weight approx. 3.83cts.
Chain length is 15.5" (39.4cm) with 1.5mm wide links.
WEIGHT: 4.5g

MATERIALS: Tests as 15ct Gold, 9ct Gold bolt ring, Aquamarine (3.83ct)

STAMPS: 9ct on later bolt ring

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The Aquamarines are clear and bright with no visible chips or significant facet wear. The bezels and bar are intact with only light surface scratches consistent with careful wear, and the chain shows a later 9ct bolt ring addition and evidence of a past repair/resolder at a link near the clasp. Overall the piece has been well cared for and presents beautifully.
