Fall in love with this romantic early Victorian 18ct Gold acrostic pansy flower ring! The ring has been beautifully constructed with wispy openwork shoulders and a pansy flower with gemstones spelling out 'regard', namely a Ruby, Emerald, Garnet, Amethyst, Ruby and a Diamond.

Popularised in the 1800's, acrostic rings were a way to secretly give messages to a loved one, and the owner of this ring is sure to have been thought of highly by its giver! This is a gorgeous early Victorian ring for your collection.

Ring band is 1.5mm wide at the back.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

VERY GOOD. This early Victorian 18ct Gold acrostic pansy flower ring is in very good condition. The ring has secure gemstones and lovely wispy openwork shoulders. The ring has thinned slightly towards the back of the band but it can still be worn with confidence. The Amethyst has a slight abrasion on one side, but this is only noticeable up close beneath a jewellers loupe of 10 x magnification. This is a gorgeous ring with plenty of wear left in her!
