A refined Art Deco Shakudo bracelet, composed of delicately scalloped round plaques linked for fluid movement. Each plaque displays fine gold- and silver-toned inlay against a rich dark patina, depicting flowers, butterflies and serene Japanese landscapes with beautiful clarity. Finished with a neat box clasp and safety chain for peace of mind.

Crafted in Shakudo—a traditional mixed-metal alloy of copper with a small amount of Gold, chemically patinated to achieve its distinctive black-brown ground—this bracelet showcases miniature artistry in a wearable form. Elegant, tactile and timeless, it’s a charming statement of Art Deco design.

ERA: Art Deco (1920–1939)

MEASUREMENTS: Bracelet is 6 3/4" (17cm) long.
Plaque links measure approx. 10mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 9.3g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Gold-tone metal, Shakudo.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: The scenic Shakudo panels are crisp with light, even surface wear commensurate with age and minor patina rubbing in places. One link shows an historic solder repair which is secure and stable. The articulated construction, box clasp and safety chain are all in good working order, indicating careful wear over time.
