Quintessentially Art Nouveau, this petite 18ct Gold portrait brooch features a graceful maiden in sculpted relief, her flowing “whiplash” hair framed by a scalloped rosette border. VERY GOOD: Diamonds are secure and bright with no obvious chips to the naked eye. The Gold plaque shows light surface scratches and tiny pits consistent with age, while the relief remains crisp and well-defined. Fittings (tubular hinge, C-catch and overlong pin) are intact and function well.
