ERA: Victorian (1837–1901).

MEASUREMENTS: Locket is 23mm long including jump ring.
Locket is 18mm wide.
WEIGHT: 3.1g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold back and front, metal frame and hinges for strength & durability.

STAMPS: BK&F.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The Gold surfaces show light, even wear commensurate with age; the foliate engravings remain crisp and attractive. Hinge and closure are in good working order, with clean interiors and a faint trace of old film/residue in one well—beautifully preserved with a gentle antique patina.
