Romance and drama meet in this Austro-Hungarian Silver drop pendant, ablaze with vivid Pink Foiled Paste and softened by delicate Pearls. A luminous pear-shaped pink paste steals the spotlight within an ornate openwork frame, trimmed with a tactile rope-twist bezel and studded halo of smaller round pink pastes. A dainty articulated pear drop sways below, adding graceful movement with every step.

Quintessentially Austro-Hungarian in spirit, the artistry and silhouette evoke the opulence of the late 19th to early 20th century. MEASUREMENTS: Round Pink Foiled Paste stones measure approx. 3mm in diameter.
Central pear-shaped Pink Foiled Paste measures approx. 13mm long x 7mm wide.
Pear-shaped Pink Foiled Paste drop measures approx. 9mm long x 5mm wide.
Pearls measure approx. 2mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 7.5g

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver, Pink Foiled Paste, Pearl.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

VERY GOOD: The Pink Foiled Paste stones and Pearls show light age-related surface wear under magnification, with good sparkle and lustre retained. The Silver settings are secure throughout with a rich, even patina and the articulated drop moves freely. No obvious later repairs observed.
