This Art Deco Silver brooch has been formed into a striking scarab beetle, symbolising protection and renewal, inspired by ancient Egyptian motifs. At the centre of the piece sits an intricately carved Turquoise stone, adding a vivid pop of colour that contrasts beautifully with the cool tones of the Silver setting.

The beetle’s body is finely detailed, with Enamel highlights on the wings enhancing its natural form. Dating to the 1920's, this brooch is fitted with a secure pin, making it easy to wear on a lapel, scarf, or hat!

MEASUREMENTS: Brooch is 15mm long x 64mm wide
Weight: 7.8g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver, Metal pin, Turquoise, Enamel.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

VERY GOOD: This Art Deco brooch is in very good condition, with mild surface wear consistent with age and careful use. The Silver remains well-preserved with no significant dents or scratches. The Enamel detail on the feathers of the wings has worn over time, but it still adds a lovely accent. The Turquoise is securely set with no visible surface wear. The clasp is a little loose, but still functions well. Overall, the piece presents beautifully and is ready to wear.
