Fine vertical lines define the wings of this Art Deco Silver scarab pendant, while raised details shape the head and rounded upper body. A patina in the recessed decoration gives the stylised beetle a clear outline against its brighter raised surfaces.

The compact oval form is suspended from a contrasting Gold-coloured ring. Its largely plain reverse provides a quiet contrast to the patterned front, making this a small piece with plenty of sculptural detail to enjoy close up.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 21mm long, including jump ring.
Pendant is 12.5mm wide.
WEIGHT: 1g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 800 Silver, 9ct Gold jump ring.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

EXCELLENT: The scarab has held its form well with only slight wear in the antennae detail at the top of the charm. The Silver is bright with a lovely antique patina, enhancing the engraved details. The jump ring is secure, allowing you to wear this pendant with confidence.
