This striking Art Deco Egyptian Revival bracelet is a wonderful example of 1920s jewellery design, marrying bold colour with symbolic motifs. Each link features a carved deep blue glass scarab set within a rope-twist Silver frame, the scarabs a nod to Ancient Egyptian amulets symbolising rebirth and protection. Between the scarabs sit stylised lotus flowers in vibrant blue and white Enamel, another iconic motif from antiquity, beautifully executed in the clean lines of Art Deco geometry.

The combination of Silver, enamel and glass gives this piece a richly decorative quality, with colour contrasts that feel both exotic and elegant. A superb collector’s item, this bracelet encapsulates the fascination with Ancient Egypt that swept through the Art Deco period following the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

EXCELLENT: The carved blue glass scarabs are in superb condition with no noticeable chips or abrasions. The enamel is completely intact with no areas of loss, maintaining vibrant colour throughout. The Silver links and settings are in excellent order, with minimal wear consistent with age.
