A jewel of pure Art Deco romance, this Sterling Silver pendant pairs the ethereal shimmer of Morpho butterfly with a classical scene of Cupid and Psyche in crisp white relief. The iridescent aqua-to-violet ground glows with peacock-like colour, while the cushion-rectangular plaque is framed by a refined beaded milgrain bezel for a distinctly Deco silhouette.

Beautifully made with a closed, polished back stamped “ENGLAND STERLING” and finished with a 9ct Gold jump ring, it’s a captivating, cameo-like miniature that brings movement and light to every look.

ERA: Art Deco (1920–1939).

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 31mm long including jump ring.
Pendant is 20mm wide.
WEIGHT: 3.8g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Sterling Silver, Morpho Butterfly Wing, 9ct Gold jump ring

STAMPS: ENGLAND STERLING.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The iridescent butterfly panel is bright with only light surface striations visible on close inspection. The Silver setting and beaded bezel are secure with gentle, age-related patina to the closed back; the 9ct Gold jump ring is secure. No obvious damage or issues of note, presenting beautifully overall.
