This Art Deco Silver butterfly wing drop pendant is an eye-catching highly collectable treasure from the 1920s. This pendant encapsulates the Art Deco era fascination with bold, bright jewellery and "exotic" materials and has the most stunning shimmering electric blue colour!

This pendant contains the neo-tropical Morpho blue butterfly wing which was a species of butterfly that was native to Peru. The 1920s was a time renowned for exploration, so it is not surprising that this wing has likely travelled far and wide in it's long life. This butterfly species was unable to be found in the UK, so you can just imagine the awe-inspiring gasp from those who viewed this pendant for the first time!

Please be aware no butterflies were harmed in it's making- the butterflies, once mated, die and fall to the forest floor- where they were collected ethically and peacefully to capture the butterfly's beauty forever!

EXCELLENT: This Art Deco Butterfly Wing pendant is in wonderful condition throughout. The butterfly wing itself is secure within its settings, with no signs of chips or scratches to the glass dome, and it still retains its gorgeous vivid colour and electric blue sheen. Just thread this beauty through a fine Silver chain.
