A sculptural Art Deco necklace composed of hand-carved Amethyst “melon” beads, gracefully graduated and punctuated by smaller faceted Amethyst spacers. The fluted carving reveals beautiful translucency and natural internal inclusions, and the alternating faceted beads lend a subtle sparkle that dances between each carved sphere.

Short, chic, and effortlessly feminine, it’s finished with a 9ct Gold bolt-ring clasp stamped “375” — a later but tasteful addition that pairs perfectly with the vivid purple tones. A classic Deco strand with a fresh, elegant feel.

ERA: Art Deco (1920–1939). Later added bolt ring.

MEASUREMENTS: Chain length is 15 & 1/2" (39.5cm) long.
Amethyst beads graduate from 14.5mm to 5.2mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 39.6g

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold (bolt-ring), Amethyst

STAMPS: “375” on the bolt-ring

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: The Amethyst beads are bright with light surface wear consistent with age, including minor abrasions to some flutes and near drill holes, with no chips or cracks observed. The stringing is secure and appears comparatively newer; the 9ct Gold bolt-ring is a later addition and functions well. Overall well cared for with only gentle, age-appropriate wear.
