A striking Art Deco Opal solitaire ring dating to the 1920s, crafted in warm 9ct Gold and set with a dramatic natural solid Opal of approximately 2.75cts.

This elongated cabochon displays exceptional blue-green play-of-colour with vibrant flashes of neon green, teal and thunder-cloud purple, creating an atmospheric, moody gemstone with beautiful finger coverage.

The classic Deco double-claw setting enhances the sleek silhouette and frames the Opal perfectly. Elegant, sculptural and full of personality, this is a wonderful 1920s statement ring that comes with its original antique box.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT: The Opal is smooth, glossy and full of vibrant colour with no chips or cracks. The double-claw setting is secure and well-preserved. The 9ct Gold band shows only light age-consistent wear. A beautifully maintained Art Deco solitaire.
