A striking Art Deco filigree shield ring, crafted in luminous 14ct White Gold and set with a vivid French-cut Sapphire at its heart. The rich cobalt-blue centre is framed along a vertical axis by twinkling old European-cut Diamonds, the whole composition defined by fine millegrain edges and pierced openwork.

Sapphire measures 3mm long x 3mm wide, weighing approx. 0.15ct.
Old European Cut Diamonds measure approx. 3mm in diameter, weighing approx. 0.20ct combined.
WEIGHT: 3.7g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 14ct White Gold, French Cut Sapphire (0.15ct), Old European Cut Diamonds (0.20ct).

STAMPS: Faded 18k gold inner band.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

VERY GOOD: The Sapphire and Diamonds are bright with no obvious chips; only light age-related surface wear is noted. The filigree, engravings and millegrain remain crisp with gentle patina in the recesses. There is a neat historic resize to the shank that is visible on close inspection, with the ring secure and well-presented overall.
