An alluring Antique Victorian seven-stone “boat” ring set in richly hued 18ct Gold, glowing with deep purplish-red Rubies punctuated by twinkling Diamonds. The gemstones are arranged in a graceful row, the centre Ruby slightly larger for a beautiful focal point and flanked by smaller, lively Diamond accents for scintillating contrast.

Hand-worked details abound: softly irregular settings, tactile granulation between the stones and a decorative openwork gallery lend the ring its unmistakable Victorian character. MEASUREMENTS: Ring band tapers from 6mm wide at the fornt to 2mm wide at the back.
Central Ruby measures 5.5mm long x 5.5mm wide.
2 x Rubies measure 4.5mm long x 3.5mm wide.
Total Ruby weight is approx. 1.25ct.
Diamonds measure approx. 2mm in diameter, weighing approx. 0.12ct combined.
WEIGHT: 4.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Rubies (1.25ct), Diamonds (0.12ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

VERY GOOD: Rubies and Diamonds are secure with minor facet wear visible under magnification, commensurate with age. The Gold setting and band show light surface wear and small marks from wear, with a visible resize to the shank. Overall, well preserved and ready to wear.
