The larger central links give it a strong outline at the neckline, while the finer links towards the ends keep the shape gently graduated.

This chain brings together antique Edwardian components from different dates, a detail reflected in their differing marks. With two dog clips and a generous T-bar, it is an appealing piece for someone who enjoys both the look and the individual history of an antique Silver chain.

ERA: Edwardian (1901–1909).

MEASUREMENTS: Chain measures 15 & 1/2" (39.5cm) long.
Links graduate from 3.5mm to 7.5mm wide.
T-bar measures 12.5mm x 37.5mm.
Dog clips measure 22mm x 7.5mm.
WEIGHT: 37.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver.

STAMPS: Birmingham Anchor on the chain. Lion Passant on every link and T-bar. J.R Maker's Mark on the T-bar. Different date letters are recorded across the components.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

EXCELLENT: This chain is in excellent condition. It has been assembled from antique Edwardian components of different dates, rather than remaining a single matching original set. The graduated links, dog clips and T-bar make a handsome combination.
