Petite and romantic, these Victorian Garnet cluster drops glow with deep crimson allure. Each domed rosette is formed from tightly set, rose-style faceted Garnets in dark, crimped collet settings, creating a charming floral silhouette with antique character.

The articulated design allows the clusters to sway below bright 9ct Gold ball studs, a later conversion that lends contemporary ease while preserving the beauty of the original drops. Closed backs and the richly patinated settings enhance their old-world warmth—elegant, classic, and so easy to wear.

Item Details

ERA: Victorian (1837–1901).

MEASUREMENTS: Earrings are 18mm long from the top of the studs.
Clusters are 11.5mm in diameter.
Garnets measure approx. 3.5mm long x 2.5mm wide.
WEIGHT: 1.8g (pair).

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold (studs), Gold-toned metal (drops), Rose-cut Garnets.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: Garnets show small nicks and light facet abrasions under close inspection, with all stones present and secure. The antique settings display pleasing patina and darkening commensurate with age; solder is visible at the loop. Later 9ct Gold studs and butterfly backs are in good order, offering secure and comfortable wear.
