An ornate Victorian Silver locket with a wonderful architectural silhouette, this rectangular treasure bears the Chester hallmark for 1882. Its face is richly decorated with engine-turned foliate engravings, framed by a twisted rope inner border, applied beaded rosettes and a scalloped perimeter that catches the light beautifully. The darker antique patina settled in the recesses adds depth and drama to the crisp metalwork.

VERY GOOD: The Silver shows light surface wear and a pleasing antique patina, with the engravings and applied beading remaining crisp. There is some loss to the rope border and darker areas of patina, but the structure is sound and ready to be worn.
