These French Victorian Dormeuse earrings are just a delightful pair! Created from Silver and inlaid with scintillating Diamond Paste, we estimate that these beauties were created in France during the midst of the Belle Époque period!

Dormeuse, or "sleeper", earrings were invented in France, originally designed to be worn all day and throughout the night to avoid piercing the wearer's neck, making them comfortable and secure to wear, whatever the occasion!

ERA: Victorian (1837-1901).

MEASUREMENTS: Earrings are 18.5mm long x 8.5mm wide.
Paste stones are 8mm in diameter.
Weight: 3.5g combined.

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver, Paste.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

EXCELLENT: These lovely Paste dormeuse earrings are in gorgeous condition for their age. The Silver is bright with no dings or damage to note. The White Paste is all securely set, free from chips or scuffs. They're ready to be loved for years to come!
