French and fabulously tactile, this Victorian Silver coin purse pendant is a little jewel of craftsmanship. The scalloped frame is richly decorated with repoussé mistletoe, its berries and leaves picked out in relief and finished with a charming double-ball kiss-lock. Below, a fine, fluid mesh drapes beautifully, ending in a lively chain-and-bead fringe that shimmers with movement.

A petite statement with an ornate, botanical feel, it wears effortlessly as a pendant thanks to the top suspension ring. The mellow patina highlights every curve and scroll, giving this antique its softly romantic allure.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 75.5mm long x 51.5mm wide.
WEIGHT: 35g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver.

STAMPS: Double Crab stamp for French silver.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

EXCELLENT: The Silver shows an even, attractive patina with light surface wear consistent with age. The mesh is intact, and the hinge and kiss-lock close securely; fringe movement is free with only minor dimples to a few bead terminals. No obvious repairs or alterations are visible, and the piece has been well cared for.
