An elegant pair of antique French 18ct Gold Amethyst and Pearl drop earrings, c.1890, featuring chic Amethyst “target” tops and pear-shaped Amethyst drops. The drops move freely within streamlined openwork torpedo shapes, accented with natural Pearls that add subtle shimmer.

The graceful lines and delicate movement capture the refined aesthetic of late 19th-century French jewellery, making these earrings a rare and collectible example of period craftsmanship.

Item Details

ERA: Victorian, c.1890.

MEASUREMENTS: Earrings are 44mm long from the top of the hooks.
Earrings are 14mm wide.
Pear-cut Amethysts are 9mm long x 5mm wide.
Round Amethysts are 3mm in diameter.
Pearls graduate from 2mm to 2.5mm in diameter.
Weight: 3.7g (pair).

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Amethyst, Pearl.

STAMPS: French eagle stamps (x2), French maker's mark on hooks.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.
