Sensuously sculpted in deep relief, this Art Nouveau locket pendant blooms with a graceful iris and flowing whiplash scrolls across a domed Silver face. The reverse is domed for a sleek profile, with a soldered jump ring for effortless wear.

Opening on a side hinge, it reveals a warmly lustrous interior gilded in 9ct Gold and closes with a reassuring snap. Romantic, organic and beautifully detailed, it’s a timeless keepsake of the Belle Époque spirit.

Item Details

ERA: Art Nouveau (1890–1910).

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 34.5mm long including jump ring.
Pendant is 28mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 5.7g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver, 9ct Gold gilded interior.

STAMPS: 800.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: The repoussé iris motif is crisp with attractive patina and light surface wear. The back shows some notable dings from age and use; the hinge, jump ring and snap closure are sound and it closes securely. The gilded interior remains bright with minor age-related wear.
