ERA: Victorian (1837–1901).

MEASUREMENTS: Locket including jump ring is 30mm long inc. jump ring.
Locket itself is 23mm in diameter
Weight: 4.7g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, metal frames and hinge for strength and durability.

STAMPS: "9CT B&F" / "9CT BACK & FRONT"

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

Condition

VERY GOOD: The locket is structurally sound and closes securely with a satisfying click. There are some dings to the surface, along with visible wear to the Gold and stamps, all consistent with age and use. These marks add to its antique charm and are reflected in the price.
