Warm golden Citrines glow inside dark, sparkling Marcasite borders in these Georgian cluster earrings. The contrast is especially lovely close up, where each faceted centre catches the light against its finely dotted Silver surround.

Their compact round clusters measure 12mm across and hang from simple 9ct Gold hooks. The domed Silver backs give them a pleasing sculptural finish, while the rich yellow stones bring warmth to the face. A characterful antique pair with a beautiful balance of colour and subtle sparkle.

MEASUREMENTS: Earrings measure 19.5mm long including the hooks.
Clusters measure 12mm in diameter.
Citrines measure 8mm in diameter by 4mm deep.
Marcasites measure 1.5mm in diameter.
Hook fittings for pierced ears.
WEIGHT: 4.2g

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold hooks with Silver settings, Citrines and Marcasites.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

VERY GOOD: The Citrines retain a rich golden colour and faceted sparkle. One or two Marcasites are missing from the clusters, and surface wear is visible on the Silver backs and Gold hooks. The domed backs keep their smooth rounded shape.
