Item Details

ERA: Victorian (1837-1901)

MEASUREMENTS: Locket is 29mm long x 22.5mm wide.
Paste are 1.5mm in diameter.
Pearls are 1mm in diameter.
Weight: 5.5g

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold back and front with metal frames and hinge for strength & durability, red Paste, Pearls.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

GOOD. This antique 9ct Gold Paste flower heart locket is in good condition. The Paste and Pearls are secure within the settings, with every one present. The Pearls have a darker variation of colour, due to wear to the nacre but they have beauty in their own unique way. The Gold does have areas of darkening but, overall has a Gold radiance that cannot be missed. Although her doors don't shut with a click, they do remain pressed against each other and with one original frame, this Victorian Paste locket can be worn with confidence!
