The natural, solid Opal sits as a domed oval cabochon in a tall buttercup coronet, its petal-like gallery and tapered shoulders lending an elegant, airy profile. MEASUREMENTS: Opal is 9.5mm long x 7mm wide, weighing approx. 1.70ct.
Band is 1.5mm wide.
WEIGHT: 1.7g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Natural Solid Opal (1.70ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: The Opal cabochon shows light abrasions that give a softly frosted sheen, with bright play-of-colour still evident; no chips or cracks observed. The 9ct Gold coronet setting and split shoulders show minor surface wear, with all claws present and securing the stone well; the band remains smooth with no evident resizing or repairs.
