This charming Victorian oval locket is crafted from sumptuous 9ct Gold, adorned with baroque-style engravings and an ornately decorated bale.

Item Details

ERA: Victorian (1837-1901).

MEASUREMENTS: Locket is 42mm long including bale.
Locket itself is 31mm long x 21.5mm wide.
Garnet is 3mm in diameter.
Weight: 4.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold back and front, metal frames and hinge for strength and durability, Garnet.

STAMPS: 9CT GOLD BACK & FRONT on locket back.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT: This antique locket has held its form well and the details have all remained defined. The Garnet is secure and the bale is well soldered. There are some spots of discolouration to the Gold, particularly inside, though this is difficult to spot when wearing. Closing with a nice 'click', you can wear this Victorian Garnet star set locket with confidence.
