Refined and beautifully wearable, this Edwardian oval locket is crafted in 9ct Gold with a warm yellow-rosy glow. Both faces are adorned with crisp engine-turned diagonal stripes, anchored by a blank scroll cartouche ready for a personal engraving—classic, elegant and forever chic.

The locket opens to reveal two compartments with raised rims for cherished photographs or tiny mementos, and closes securely with a satisfying click. A fixed hasp and jump ring make it easy to style on your favourite chain, while its gentle patina adds depth and character to the timeless design.

ERA: Edwardian (1901–1909).

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 38.5mm long including jump ring.
Locket itself is 30.5mm long x 25mm wide.
WEIGHT: 4.8g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold Back & Front, metal frames for strength & durability.

STAMPS: 9CT GOLD SIDES & EDGES on back of locket.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: Light surface scratches and a few dings from age and wear; the engine-turned engraving remains crisp, and the hinge and snap closure align and click shut securely. The interior shows minor polishing marks with one original photo frame insert present.
