Item Details

ERA: Victorian (1837-1901).

MEASUREMENTS: Locket is 67.5mm long, including chain & jump-ring.
Locket itself is 25mm long x 20.5mm wide.
Weight: 7.4g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold locket and chain, metal engraved frames and hinge.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD. This antique 9ct Gold engraved book locket is in very good condition. The Gold is buttery and the engraved details have all remained crisp. There is some wear running along the "book spine" edge so when the book is closed is looks as though it is slightly open, but rest assured she shuts with a satisfying click. The chains are securley connected and the robust metal frames and hinge promise many more years of wear and enjoyment!
