A petite treasure of the Victorian era, this charming pendant is set with a natural, unheated Star Sapphire of approx. 7.50ct. The high-domed cabochon glows an ethereal pale blue and displays a pronounced six-rayed star asterism, beautifully centered and mesmerising in the light.

The Sapphire is cradled in a smooth rub-over 9ct Gold bezel, lending a refined, minimalist silhouette that feels both delicate and talismanic. Finished with a dainty split ring, it’s a celestial jewel with timeless elegance.

ERA: Victorian (1837–1901).

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 11mm in diameter.
Sapphire measures 10mm in diameter x 6.5mm deep, weighing approx. 7.50ct.
WEIGHT: 1.6g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Natural No Heat Star Sapphire (7.50ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: The Star Sapphire presents beautifully with only the most delicate natural surface features visible under magnification. The 9ct Gold rub-over setting is smooth and secure, and the split ring bale is in excellent order. Overall, minimal wear consistent with age, suggesting the piece has been well cared for.
