A blaze of Victorian starlight, this starburst brooch shimmers with a constellation of Old Mine Cut Diamonds arranged in layered, radiating rays. Anchored by a luminous central Diamond of approximately 0.85ct and enveloped by a pavé of glistening old cuts totalling around 3.00ct, its combined 3.85ct of Diamonds dance with characterful fire and sparkle from every angle.

Expertly crafted in tested Sterling Silver with an 18ct Gold back, the classic Silver-over-Gold construction enhances the Diamonds’ brilliance while imbuing the piece with timeless elegance. A statement of celestial glamour and refined Victorian craftsmanship, it brings a spectacular burst of light to any ensemble.

Central Diamond measures approx. 5.5mm in diameter, weighing approx. 0.85ct.
Surrounding Diamonds range from 1.5mm to 4mm in diameter, weighing approx. 3.00ct combined.
Total Diamond weight is approx. 3.85ct.
WEIGHT: 7g.

MATERIALS: Tests as Sterling Silver, 18ct Gold backed, Old Mine Cut Diamond (3.85ct).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

EXCELLENT: The Diamonds are bright and lively with superb dispersion; only light surface wear is seen on a couple of stones under magnification. The settings are crisp and secure, and the brooch fastening works perfectly. Overall, the piece has been beautifully preserved and presents wonderfully.
