The scarab is embraced by a rope‑twist bezel and hand‑worked wire details at the shoulders, giving the piece wonderful texture and presence. Condition

VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT: The Faience shows natural craquelure and light surface abrasions commensurate with age, with small edge wear visible under close inspection. The rope‑twist bezel, swivel pins and wirework shoulders are secure and well preserved with a pleasing antique patina. The rounded shank is in excellent shape with no obvious signs of resizing or repair.
