A quintessential Victorian treasure, this c.1860 five-stone Garnet half hoop ring is crafted in rich 18ct Gold. The round, graduated Garnets glow with saturated berry-red hues and a lively sparkle, totalling approximately 1.10ct combined. Timeless and romantic, it’s an easy, elegant statement whether stacked or worn solo.

Finely detailed throughout, the stones rest in scalloped collet settings with delicate milgrain accents, leading to a pierced foliate under-gallery and shapely, engraved shoulders. The warm Gold and intricate openwork give this slender ring its graceful, antique character.

MEASUREMENTS: Band tapers from 6mm wide at the front to 2mm wide at the back.
Garnets graduate from 3.5mm to 5mm in diameter, weighing approx. 1.10ct combined.
WEIGHT: 2.5g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Garnet (1.10ct).

STAMPS: Obscured 18ct Gold and Maker's Mark.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

EXCELLENT: The Garnets are bright and well-matched with minimal facet wear; one stone shows a minute surface mark visible under magnification only. The Gold settings and band are crisp with light surface wear and a gentle antique patina; all stones are secure. A faint sizing seam is visible on the inner shank, indicative of a careful past resize.
