Each link sits at a 45-degree angle, perfectly arching around the form of your wrist, bound together by blushed 18ct Gold. With each setting being a smooth domed back, this antique Garnet bracelet sits comfortably and is a testament to the craftsmanship of the Georgian period.

Item Details

ERA: Late Georgian/ Early Victorian, c.1830-1840

MEASUREMENTS: Bracelet is 7" or 17.5cm long.
Bracelet is 14.5mm wide.
18 Central rose-cut Garnets are 7.5mm long x 5.5mm wide.
36 round rose-cut Garnets are 3mm in diameter.
Weight: 15.7g

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold throughout, Rose-Cut Perpignan Garnets.

STAMPS: French Horse's head on clasp for 18ct Gold, used between 1838-1919, but possible that it was stamped at a later date.
HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD. This antique 18ct Gold French Perpignan Garnet bracelet is in very good condition! The Perpignan Garnets are secure within their settings with foiled backs that emphasising their indulgent hue. There are some areas of surface wear to the facets of some of the Garnets, but this can only be seen under a jeweller's loupe which considering their grand age is pretty impressive. The Gold has a lovely rosy hue and although there are a couple of dings, the bracelet sits comfortably. Complete with a safety chain, this Georgian Garnet bracelet has an extra layer of security allowing you to wear it with confidence.
