A superb Imperial Russian chain extender in solid 14ct Rose Gold from the late Victorian era, circa 1900. The design centres on an oversized 20mm bolt-ring paired with a 12mm split ring, linked by a sculptural, three-dimensional fancy chain. Its rich rosy hue and bold proportions bring instant polish to any jewel it connects.

Stamped throughout with crisp “56” zolotnik marks confirming the Imperial 14ct standard, this piece has a wonderfully substantial feel at 20.7g with smooth, satisfying mechanics. A rare and beautifully engineered utility jewel from a storied era.

Chain is 9mm wide.
Bolt-ring is 20mm diameter (excluding pull).

MATERIALS: Tests as 14ct Rose Gold

STAMPS: “56” Zolotnik marks on the hasp of the bolt-ring, on the split ring, on the connecting links and midway along the chain.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.
