A timeless American Art Deco necklace crafted in 14ct White Gold, showcasing an oval Onyx plaque within a delicate openwork filigree surround. At its centre, a single bright Diamond set in a crisp geometric motif punctuates the inky sheen of the Onyx with a refined flash of light. MEASUREMENTS: Chain is 15 & 1/2" (39.5cm) long.
Chain links are 2mm wide.
Drop is 37mm long.
Onyx is 27.5mm long x 18.5mm wide.
Diamond measures approx. 2.5mm in diameter, weighing approx. 0.06ct.
WEIGHT: 5.3g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 14ct White Gold, Onyx, Diamond (0.06ct).

STAMPS: 14k (on bolt ring).

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

EXCELLENT: The Onyx presents with a high polish and only the lightest surface wear visible under magnification; the Diamond is bright and securely set. The 14ct White Gold filigree and decorative bale are crisp with no losses, and the chain and bolt ring clasp function perfectly. Gentle, even patina commensurate with age, suggesting the piece has been very well cared for.
