A sumptuous Vintage 9ct Gold dress ring crowned with a 2.45ct Natural Star Sapphire cabochon. The raised bezel is embraced by flowing openwork ribbons and scrolls, while two sparkling Diamond accents punctuate the design with elegant light.

Hallmarked for Birmingham c.1986, this sculptural, romantic setting lifts the velvety cabochon so it catches the eye from every angle. The Sapphire is noted as natural with no indications of heat, and the richly hued Gold and pierced gallery give the piece a refined, statement presence.

Star Sapphire measures 9.5mm long x 7mm wide x 4.5mm deep, approximately 2.45ct.
Diamonds are 2.5mm in diameter each (x2).

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Natural Star Sapphire (2.45ct), Diamonds

HALLMARKS: Birmingham Anchor, date letter for 1986 (other marks partially obscured)

EXCELLENT: The Natural Star Sapphire and Diamonds present beautifully with only light surface wear visible under close inspection, and all stones are secure in their settings. The 9ct Gold mount and split shank are in excellent order with crisp openwork and gentle, even patina. No obvious signs of resizing or repair observed.
