This striking Georgian navette pendant showcases a large Black Dot Paste in a beautifully detailed Gold and Silver setting. The elongated navette stone is hand-cut and lively, catching the light with every movement, with the dark “black dot” at the centre imitating the culet of an old Diamond.

Framed by a finely worked 9ct Gold border and Silver collet, the closed-back setting gives the Paste a soft, glowing look typical of Georgian jewellery. Worn on your favourite antique chain or ribbon, it’s a wonderfully characterful piece of early jewellery with all the charm and drama of the period.

ERA: Georgian (1714–1837).

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 25.5mm long including jump ring.
Pendant itself is 22mm long x 12mm wide.
Paste is 13.5mm long x 7mm wide.
WEIGHT: 2.8g

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold and Silver, Black Dot Paste.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: The Black Dot Paste shows bright sparkle with light surface wear and small age-related marks visible under close inspection, in keeping with a Georgian piece. The closed-back Silver setting and 9ct Gold frame are secure with some natural patina and tarnish, adding to the antique character and charm of the pendant.
