Item Details

ERA: Victorian (1837–1901).

MEASUREMENTS: Necklace is 72" or 183cm long.
Shells measure approximately 6mm long x 4mm wide.
WEIGHT: 17.8g.

MATERIALS: Tasmanian Mariner Shells.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: The shells retain their natural iridescence and are securely strung. Some minor wear and small age-related holes are present, consistent with antique examples, yet the necklace remains strong, wearable and beautifully preserved for its age.
