This striking Victorian Niello chain is a beautiful example of 19th-century European craftsmanship. Made from 900 Silver with alternating Niello Enamel and Rose Gold-plated links, it features a distinctive striped bolt-ring clasp, ideal for attaching charms or pendants. The contrasting tones of dark Niello and warm Rose Gold create a wonderful two-tone effect that’s both elegant and unique.

Long enough to be worn on its own or layered with other chains, it’s a versatile statement piece that embodies Victorian style and technical artistry.

MEASUREMENTS: Chain is 27 & 1/2" or 70cm long.
Links are 3.5mm wide.
Striped Niello bolt-ring measures 11mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 17.4g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 900 Silver, 9ct Rose Gold-Plated Links, Niello Enamel.

STAMPS: “900” near clasp.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT: The Niello Enamel is well preserved with crisp striping and strong contrast. The Gold-plated links retain their warm hue, and the bolt-ring clasp is secure and functional. Minor surface wear only, consistent with age.
