A rare and elegant 19th-century French cluster ring, handcrafted in rich 18ct Gold and set with a vivid Green Paste centre surrounded by a halo of sparkling Marcasite.

The colour and composition are beautifully balanced — the bright verdant hue of the Paste perfectly offset by the soft metallic shimmer of Marcasite and the warmth of the antique Gold. Its charming split triple-band design and handmade setting embody the craftsmanship of the Georgian to early 19th-century era, making this a truly special antique treasure.

MEASUREMENTS: Head measures 10.5mm long x 9mm wide.
Paste is 5.5mm long x 5.5mm wide.
Marcasite are 1mm in diameter.
Ring band is 1.5mm wide at the back.
WEIGHT: 2.3g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 18ct Gold, Green Paste, Marcasite.

STAMPS: Stamped with two French antique hallmarks — a maker’s mark within a lozenge-shaped cartouche and a regional pictorial mark.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

EXCELLENT: Exceptionally well-preserved for its age, with all original stones intact. The Marcasite halo is crisp and bright, and the Paste retains vivid colour. The 3-pronged handmade band is strong and free from signs of resizing or damage.
