A striking Art Deco panel ring with an elongated cartouche silhouette, this beauty centres on a domed Opal cabochon alive with blue-green iridescence. A halo of bright, bead-set Diamonds encircles the Opal, framed by fine millegrain and delicate pierced openwork for that quintessential Deco finesse.

The two-tone palette is elegant and refined, with a white Silver top contrasting against warm Gold plated Silver details, and tapered shoulders flowing into a comfortable band. Architectural, symmetrical and effortlessly glamorous, it’s a timeless c.1920 statement.

Opal measures 5mm in diameter, weighing approx. 0.30ct.
12 x Diamonds measure approx. 1.5mm in diameter, weighing approx. 0.18ct combined.

MATERIALS: Tests as Silver, Gold plated Silver, Natural Solid Opal (0.30ct), Diamond (0.18ct).

STAMPS: SIL.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

EXCELLENT: The Opal is bright and secure with no chips, and the Diamonds are all present and lively with crisp bead and millegrain detailing. The band and gallery show only light surface wear and gentle patina commensurate with age; a neat solder join is visible where the head meets the shank. Beautifully preserved with no missing stones and ready to wear.
